Hello All...I have decided to do my first costume as Padme Amadala in the fireside gown from AOC. I have looked at the CRL and have leads on all except the lace material for the mermaid skirt. I know that it should be geometrical . I have found this pattern and would like to know if this would be RL approved. Most of the black lace i have found are floral. If anyone has any other leads, please let me know. Thanks so much!!

Here is the fabric that I am thinking of using :

Thanks so much,
Jennifer

Hi!
Mine is not aproved yet (I made some improvements and send it again).
I think your fabric is a little so repetitive, (sorry I can say in english what I think in spanish XD).
I used this one:
https://es.aliexpress.com/item/Free-shipping-1-4-meters-wide-color-black-knitted-net-fabric-5meters-lot-DIY-lace-material/1238581409.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.274263c0J4nP2y

And that's the result

(Please ignore my dragon tail XDXDXD)

Thinking about it, mine is so repetitive too XD

I hope I'll help you Wink[/img]

I think I may like the aliexpress lace better, but I agree that you have to search far and wide to find good non-floral laces. It's not impossible, but difficult.

This may not help you right now, but sometimes during the Halloween season, Joann carries this "spiderweb" fabric . One side is sometimes sliver, but the opposite side is black and isn't floral or too geometric.
