Mission Report:
The GAMMA.CON festival is an annual event run by the non for profit organisation The GAMMA.CON Society Inc. Staffed 100% by volunteers, GAMMA.CON festival is a two day event dedicated to entertaining casual and dedicated fans of TV, anime, movies, books, comics, gaming, technology and collectables. As the largest pop culture event of this kind in the ACT/Southern NSW region GAMMA.CON prides itself on providing as much content as possible to our attendees with minimal if no extra cost.
Gamma.Con moved to an even larger location this year, spreading out between both the Coorong and Budawang Pavilions at EPIC. The set up was quite impressive, with one exhibition hall dedicated to electronic gaming displays, consoles and playing arenas and the larger featuring the main stage, artist alleys, many vendor stalls and of course, us!
Bump in was relatively easy and quick, setting up display tables, some banners and the Endor backdrop and Speeder bike that was graciously driven down from Newcastle by Mack.
Lots of fun was had over the weekend with lots of photo ops and opportunities for people to interact with the Gamma.Con events and public.
A social dinner on Saturday night was held at the nearby George Hardcourt Inn. Good food and great company made it a fun occasion.
Sunday was a slightly quieter day but still had lots of visitors and community engagement.
Pack down was even quicker than usual and all were safely on route back home by 5:00pm.
Mission Status: Another great local convention success. Looking forward to future years of supporting the Gamma team. _________________ Legion Council Member 2020-2021

We all had lots of fun and the venue was even better than the AIS Arena. The air con was a bit chilly though. _________________ *******************************************************************
