Plush Addict seems to be very fast. I ordered the fabric on the 13th and they shipped it on the 14th. I hope that the Royal Mail and the Deutsche Post do not take too long. I cannot wait to see if the fabric is the right color for my jacket.
When I started this project I thought that I would be able to finish it in four to six weeks. I never would have expected to take more than seven months.

The fabric arrived this morning. I took two photos with different lighting. What do you think? Is this finally the right color?

Any opinions? Personally, I think it is too brown but I am always open to constructive criticism no matter what my own opinion might be.

It looks like it will work! The lightest/yellow one in these pictures is also the kona honey:
Honestly, the honey is really close in color to what you see on-screen yoke wise if not even a bit too yellow still when it is in the light where the BDU jacket is the shade that matches refs most closely.

I am very glad to hear that. I am not good at matching colors so I do not trust my own judgment on something like this. I am very busy at the moment, but I hope to be able to finish the jacket in the next one or two months. I cannot wait to take photos outside in natural light and see if it looks the way we hope it will.

Now that my battlefront female desert rebel trooper is approved and the preparations for FARK are finished it is time to get back to this project. I took off the mustard yellow yoke this morning. Oh boy, there were a lot of seams to rip. I guess I was not expecting to ever take it apart.  I hope that will have enough time to cut out the shapes from the honey-colored Kona cotton fabric and pin them to the jacket tomorrow.

I sewed on the new yoke today. The Kona Cotton honey fabric looks very good on my jacket. I think your color suggestion was great, Kristina. I am going to wash the jacket tomorrow to get rid of the chalk markings and take application photos on Sunday.

I am very excited too. Finally, this project is coming to an end. I cannot believe that it took me over a year to finish it. When I started making the jacket, I thought it would be a quick project. Who would have thought that getting a fabric with the correct shade of yellow would be so complicated?

My Senior Officer Rogue One was approved today. I want to thank everyone that helped me with their suggestions and opinions on this WIP and the CS proposal, especially RebelLady (Kristina Gundersen) and tenebris (empathy). I would not have been able to finish this costume without your advice on the new yoke.

It is for my Mil-Tec BDU jacket but it could be different for other jackets. It depends on the contrast between the two fabrics. If the jacket is a lighter or darker shade of tan perhaps even khaki a different yellow for the yoke might be necessary. I think Kona Cotton honey would probably a good starting point for most tan BDU jackets.
