Character/Costume Description
Amon Corrik was just a boy in the
temple
on Coruscant when the shocking
news
came
that Master Qui-Gon Jin had been
killed by
a
being rumored to be a sith lord.
Corrik had
long hoped he would take Obi Wan's
place
as
Qui-Gon's apprentice when the time
came
and
was unsettled by how much his
hero's
death
impacted him. He knew that Qui-Gon
was
often at odds with the Council, even
so he
was fascinated by the Jedi master's
unquestionable respect for the more
spiritual
aspects of the Force. Shortly after
the onset
of
the Clone Wars, Corrik was on his
way to
becoming a Jedi Guardian but his
memories
of
Qui-Gon made him question his place
in the
Grand Army of the Republic. While he
was
never able to serve with Qui-Gon, he
believed
the master would not have supported
the
Jedi's involvement in the war. As
such,
Corrik
resigned from his military position
and set
off on his own to try to find a way to
connect
to the Force in a more spiritual and
contemplative manner. When Order
66
finally destroyed the Jedi order,
Corrik was
a
worshipper at the kyber temple on
Jedha.
He was readying to return to
Coruscant
when
he got Kenobi's transmission to stay
away
from the temple. It was a dark and
confusing
time but something about Kenobi's
promise
about a new hope that would emerge
to
protect the galaxy rang true. Corrik
decided
to
hide on Savareen. While there he
was
briefly
associated with anti-Imperial radicals
like
Enfys Nest and Saw Gerrera. ISB was
able
to determine Corrik helped Gerrera
with a
few
early attacks on Imperial outposts
but by
the time Inquisitors arrived on
Savareen,
Corrik had vanished. After the
formation of
the
Rebel Alliance rumors would
sometimes
circulate through the outer rim of a
lone
fighter disrupting Imperial operations
or
providing aid to refugees. Most
people
didn't
give much credence to the stories,
but
some
believed it might by Corrik.
