Hailing from the tranquil planet of
Dantooine, Master Tal-Assan Haruk was
discovered by the Jedi Master Shaak Ti
playing among the golden crop fields.
While Master Tal did not study under
Master Ti, he remained very close with
her, even to the point of developing
similar personality traits. He is known
for being calm, collected, and
calculating. He is often lost in thought
and doesn't speak much unless he
needs to voice his opinion, often taking
on the tongue of a politician. He is
renowned for his negotiation skills and
for bringing new, unorthodox ideas to
discussions, arguments, or general
conversation. He can be seen as cold
and uncaring to those who don't know
him, but in reality he has a heart as
gold as the fields of Dantooine. He will
stop to help any being in times of need.
Being a Jedi Consular, he has a long
history of being extremely strong with
the Force. Master Tal is well versed
in all aspects of the Force and sticks to
his belief in the blend of the Living and
Unifying Force. He is a skilled Jedi
Diplomat and at one point was a
librarian, an archivist, and a historian,
to this day he still tells tales of
the Je'daii Order of old to the
younglings. As a Diplomat, Master Tal-
Assan Haruk is a well known name for
bringing peace to far off worlds and
promoting the spread of kindness and
charity. Though he is a Consular, his
skills with a lightsaber should not be
overlooked either. He is extremely
skilled in Soresu and Ataru, preferring
to create a Circle of Shelter around
himself until an opportunity arises that
he can go on the offense with Ataru. He
prefers to use words instead of
weapons, but when the time calls, he
stands ready. He carries two, blue
bladed, simple lightsabers. After seeing
the holo-videos of Masters Bastila and
Satele Shan, he created a connecting
pommel for his sabers so that he may
connect them into a double bladed blue
lightsaber. It is with this double blade,
that he creates a Circle of Shelter until
switching to Ataru, breaking the
blade in two, and going on the offense.
He only uses two blades in dire
situations, preferring the control
granted to him by a single, efficient
blade using Soresu. In the end, Master
Tal-Assan Haruk prefers his simple
lifestyle, wearing the simple robes of a
Jedi Master. He does not like the garish
attitude of politicians, which is why his
simple way of diplomacy, makes him a
perfect diplomat, as he is concerned for
what leads to peace in the galaxy.
