This was a joint troop with Garrison Carida and Ghost Base. This was Garrison Carida's third time trooping at this event, and this was Ghost Base's second time. We were also graced with the presence of two members of the Galactic Academy today.

Crazy for Cars is a car show that is held every July at Memorytown in Mount Pocono, PA. Proceeds from the car show benefit A.W.S.O.M. (Animal Welfare Society of Monroe), a no-kill animal shelter in Monroe County, PA. Crazy for Cars was able to raise $2,500.00 to donate to A.W.S.O.M.

Our troop began at 1:00 P.M. and ended at 3:00 P.M. Arrival time was Noon.

We received a pleasant upgrade in changing facilities upon arriving at Memorytown; a hotel room was originally reserved but then management decided to give us Memorytown's salon all to ourselves. We were able to enjoy plenty of seating and tables, a private restroom, a private changing area, more than adequate air conditioning, and.......a refrigerator!

The troop consisted of walking the grounds of the car show. Attendees, car owners, and pets were amazed and excited to see us, and the photo opportunities we provided to the aforementioned were too numerous to count. It was amazing to see families, some consisting of three generations, getting excited over Star Wars together.

Our Tusken Raider was quite the goofball, first imitating Steve Stevens by using his staff as an electric guitar at the DJ booth while Billy Idol was playing and then somehow scoring a free ice cream sandwich with some weird antics and screaming in that crazy moon language that Tusken Raiders speak.

Our TIE Reserve Pilot did an amazing job escorting a little boy who wanted to walk with us.

It was very hot and humid, which is a given at an event held in the summer and held on asphalt surrounded by metal vehicles. However, us troopers were real troopers (pun intended) and only took one water break.

The troop was a total success.

In attendance were:

Dave Kreyling – Garrison Carida and Ghost Base – Tusken Raider
Dennis Mueller – Garrison Carida – Biker Scout
Denise Mueller – Garrison Carida - TIE Reserve Pilot
Noah Mueller – Galactic Academy – Jawa
Jude Mueller – Galactic Academy – Stormtrooper
Christina Shaw – Ghost Base – Jyn Erso
Lorelei Whitlock – POC for Garrison Carida and Ghost Base – Jawa (Ghost Base)
