Freedom Base Event Forum Business Rules
Thank you to Nick Pasquariello for drafting these rules.

Authority to post topics
All topics posted in the Freedom Base Event Forum shall be posted by the Base Command Team, primarily the Regional Captains. Unauthorized posts by general membership may be subject to immediate deletion.
To have a formal event added to the Freedom Base Event Forum please submit a request through the following link: If this is an informal or internal Freedom Base Members Event such as an Armor Party, Member Meet-Up, etc. please contact your Regional Captain for submission.
Forum Structure
The event forum is sub-divided into forums by region. All topics should be posted in the applicable regional forum. Topics listed on the main event forum should be reserved for multi-regional events only. An example of a multi-regional event is an event that falls on the boarder of two regions and/or historically has attracted the attendance from members outside of the region of origin. Generally a post on the main event forum should be an announcement that links or directs members to the appropriate regional board.
Freedom Base Regions:
    • West Virginia (coordinates with Ghost and Apollo Bases)
    • Central Virginia
    • Northern Virginia (coordinates with Terrapin Base)
    • Southeastern Virginia (coordinates with Blue Ridge Base)
    • Western Virginia (coordinates with Corellian Base)

Types of topics and when to use them
    • Sticky – A sticky should only be used as a longstanding topic that carries high-level value such as a rule, policy, or general direction. An example of this would be a topic about how we address the media or what our etiquette is for trooping at events
    • Announcement – An announcement should only be used a high-level short term topic that is often time sensitive. This type of topic should be archived, downgraded to a regular topic, or deleted after the short term applicability period ends (days or weeks). An example of this would be a topic announcing a high profile event or that LFL has updated trooping guidelines for a particular event
    • Normal – A normal topic is the sign-up roster for an event that has been properly facilitated by the Regional Captain. This topic should be used as the hub for any questions pertaining to an event.

Forum Maintenance
    • It is the responsibility of the Regional Captain to maintain his/her regional forum and topics listed in the main forum originating from his/her region
    • All topics including sticky, announcements, and normal should be archived or deleted as soon as applicable. A topic is applicable for archival or deletion when the event has past and/or a trip report has been completed.
    • Topic titles should follow the format: xx/xx/xx Event Name – City, State Abbreviation
    • After Action Reports: (Added by Coryphefish) Write these into one final comment on the event post right before it’s archived. At minimum, say whether the event happened (especially if there weren’t many RSVPs.) Share who showed up, and share anything else interesting or relevant. Then please add the troop info as a new row in the trooping reports document on the Google Drive folder.

"Why, you stuck up,..half-witted,..scruffy-looking,..nerf-herder!"..."Who's scruffy-looking?"
